Welcome to the 2021 season. As we look forward to opening day this weekend, below are the key details members need to be aware of when coming out to the velodrome.
Rider Sign Up / Schedule
We will continue to use the same rider sign up system we used last year. This facilitates contact tracing and keeping numbers within the safe level of operation of the velodrome. Attached is the link for April 17 - April 25 (April 20-25 dates will be added to this link later tonight).
To plan for your training, please see the calendar on our website for CBTL's schedule going forward. This will be adjusted as AHS guidelines evolve.
We continue to monitor guidelines and progression of COVID to ensure we meet the high standards of AHS, ABA and CBTL. We are starting the season with the similar protocols we had in place at the start of last season whereby distancing must be maintained at ALL times (i.e., no cohort group riding). One important change includes some additional protocols around use of masks as you come into the velodrome and as you move around the infield (e.g., going to bike storage or using porta-potty).
As things improve especially with vaccine roll out, we expect we can start to move toward group riding, motor pacing and racing. But to get there, we must all pay attention to and follow our guidelines. There will be no exceptions on this.
Please read the protocols in the COVID-19 section of this website.
CBTL bikes will be made available for those that need them. These are free of charge to members and will be made available by requesting directly from staff. They will be signed out to members needing and will be sanitized before and after each use.
Member bike storage will be available. Please follow COVID protocols including only one member at a time in the storage area and masks must be worn in the storage area.
Email communication from me will be less frequent than last year. I expect to only send out about 6 emails throughout the season. It is therefore important to pay attention to any of the following:
