The Calgary Bicycle Track League currently has sixty five track bikes available for rent, most of which are Marinoni, KHS, and Miyatas. All of our fleet is in excellent, race worthy condition.
The Calgary Bicycle Track League (CBTL) agrees to permit the use of rental track bikes to use for training and racing sessions for one season per contract. The Calgary Bicycle Track League will adjust, maintain, and perform minor repairs that may be necessary due to normal wear and tear.
As a renter of a CBTL bike, the following will apply to you:
- You will be wholly responsible for the track bike that is assigned to you. By signing the contract, you are agreeing to keep the bike in good
condition and treat it with care. You may be ultimately liable for any costs arising from repairs that the CBTL deems to be beyond the scope of normal wear and tear, such as misuse,
negligence, abuse or purposeful damage, regardless of cause.
- The typical $500 damage deposit has been waived due to the fact that bike
rental no longer implies exclusive use of the bike. On non-CBTL event days, the bike may be used by other individuals.
- You acknowledge that signing the Renter's Agreement is a necessary condition of renting a Track Bike.
- You will agree to NOT remove, modify, trade parts on any rental bikes with the exception of pedals.
- You will be allowed to install a bicycle computer at your own risk and responsibility.
- If you wish to substitute cogs or chainrings, you must consult with the Equipment Manager first.
- You understand that the Calgary Bicycle Track League is not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property that is installed on a rental bike.
- You agree to inform the Equipment Manager immediately of any condition in which, in your opinion, the rental bike may be considered damaged, unsafe or unusable.
- It is your responsibility to conduct an immediate inspection of the bike prior to use and to inform the
Track Manager or CBTL Mechanic of any damaged or missing parts.
- You cannot remove any bikes from the Glenmore Velodrome property. You will be permitted to take your assigned rental bike to
races, competitions or activities held at other facilities provided that:
- you obtain written permission from the Equipment Manager or a member of
the CBTL Executive;
- return the bike to the Glenmore Velodrome as soon
as is reasonably possible following the event.
